Earlier today the Realme 12 got official in India with the Dimensity 6100+ SoC at the helm and a INR 16,999 starting price. Not a lot of time passed after that and Himanshu Tandon, the country head of Poco India, called the Realme 12 out for using that chipset at that price, noting that Poco puts the Dimensity 6100+ in the M6, which is priced under INR 10,000.
So he thinks everyone should wait for the Poco X6 Neo, as you can see from the post on X that’s embedded below. The Poco X6 Neo leaked earlier this week and it’s rumored to become official by next week, apparently.
After seeing today’s launch, everyone should REALly wait for the ‘Neo’ upgrade.
Red Flags: Dimensity 6100+, LCD at 17k? 😮😕
Just an FYI, we use Dimensity 6100+ in #POCOM65G which is priced under 10k. #POCOX6Neo

It looks like a rebranded Redmi Note 13R Pro, which has a 108 MP main camera like the Realme 12 but uses the Dimensity 6080 SoC instead – this gives the two ‘big’ CPU cores an extra 200 MHz and not much else.
According to the aforementioned leak, the Poco X6 Neo will start at under INR 16,000 – so 15,999? All this fuss for INR 1,000 lower price and 200 MHz extra on two CPU cores? We really do hope there’s more to it, but it doesn’t look that way.
Anyway, the X6 Neo should also have a 6.67-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz OLED touchscreen with 1,000-nit peak brightness, a 2 MP depth sensor, a 16 MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
