Tale
A modern tale of fortune-telling in the world of West Texas oil rigs
Check out writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV series on IMDb, ranked by user rating. A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will serve as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners who have mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent.

Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases, so that they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, build housing for workers (man camps), assemble the excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part fixer, part problem solver, and part facilitator.
Because those characters are HORRIBLE
Who wrote the daughter and mother/wife characters? No 17 year old girl talks to her father like that. It’s extremely awkward and uncomfortable.
Maybe it’s to balance out the creepiness factor in her lines?
Not only does she not act like a teenager around her father, she comes across as 10 years older than she is 17. The mother/wife is insufferable and has an attitude that makes me want to skip her parts. Will there be a female character that is actually likable and doesn’t just act like a sexy idiot?
