The ranch, before the neighborhood was demolished
Tale
A bewitched Agatha Harkness regains her freedom thanks to the help of a teenage girl. Intrigued by his plea, she embarks on the Witches' Road Trip to reclaim her powers and uncover the teen’s motives. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp, and Ali Ann, along with showrunner Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, share how they prepared for the Marvel show. The exterior scenes of Westview were filmed on Blondie Street, Warner Bros.
The set was previously used by Wandavision
Agatha lives in the house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Most Shocking Disney Plus Day Reveals (2021). I came into Agatha All Along with no preconceived ideas or deep knowledge of the story. So, it wasn’t until I dug in and watched episode 6 (?) that I realized it had a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe — specifically WandaVision.
I felt cheated and angry
Well, after getting caught up in Agatha All Along, I paused it and had to watch WandaVission. While WandaVision has some important elements, like the story of Agatha All Along, it’s pretty tangential (and — IMO — a much lesser show than Agatha All Along). To the show’s credit. The acting is great, and Hahn as Agatha is exceptional.
And it doesn’t detract too much from the overall show
The sets have an unusual rhythm, an original perspective as the show moves along. Above all, the trials and tribulations the characters go through and their growth are well done. The show maintains an engaging, adult storyline, without the usual sugarcoating of everyone ending up happy in the end. While I don’t think the connection to the MCU was necessary, it is what it is.
I’d probably watch a second season if there was one
